There are many interesting attractions surrounding the Honey Harbour area.

  • The Trent Severn Waterway
    The Trent Severn Waterway is the gateway to Georgian Bay and the 30,000 Islands. Make South Bay Cove Marina your first and last stop when arriving and departing from your trip through the Trent Severn Waterway.
  • The Big Chute Marine Railway
    The Big Chute Marine Railway is located on the Trent Severn Waterway and is the main gateway to and from Georgian Bay. The marine railway has a picnic area and an interesting and unique history.
  • 30,000 Islands
    The 30,000 Islands is a cruising paradise. You can explore many of these islands by leaving your boat at South Bay Cove Marina and taking your dinghy for a day of gunk holing. The islands also provide many sheltered anchorages, which are just a short trip away from South Bay Cove Marina.
  • Georgian Bay Islands National Park
    This National Park is accessible only by water. Beausoleil is the largest island of the park and offers tent camping as well as overnight and day docking. The park is only a short cruise from South Bay Cove Marina.
  • Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
    The Wye Marsh offers a wildlife area complete with nature tours on boardwalks over wetlands. Also canoe trips, information talks and much more to see.
  • Huronia Museum
    Located in Little Lake Park, the museum also has a reconstructed Indian village and features new exhibits every month during the summer season.
  • Sainte-Marie Among The Hurons & Discovery Harbour
    Ontario’s first European Community, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was the headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron Wendat people.  Discovery Harbour traces its roots back to the original British naval and military base in Penetanguishene, built to safeguard access to Upper Canada after the War of 1812
  • Hamlet of Honey Harbour
    Honey Harbour is not just a hamlet on Georgian Bay, it is the hub of a large community.  This quaint community is truly worth a day trip.
  • Coldwater Village
    The village of Coldwater is a quaint village with local gift shops, The Historic Mill and the Coldwater Museum.
  • Casino Rama, Orillia
    Located on the Rama Indian Reserve, this full size casino also has many interesting paintings and stonework depicting the native culture. The casino also has many shows throughout the year.
  • Oak Bay Golf Course
    Completed in the fall of 2010, the Oak Bay Golf Course is the newest 18-hole Muskoka golf course on the eastern shore of breathtaking Georgian Bay!
